Maya

This is a Blog for the start of my first assignment in Maya.
the assignment so far is to write down some ideas for what i think i will be doing for my first animation in Maya. so here are a few of the ideas i have come up with so far at the moment most they are quite basic apart from the one i think i am most likely to do.

Idea 1.
I was thinking about making a model of a man and duplicating him and having him fight the other model perhaps add in a weapon so that i could add in some sparks using particles. i will make a scene for this as well i was think about the inside of a medieval castle would be good for it because i could add some more animations to the background as well to bring it to life a bit more say like some fallen timbers from the roof that could be on fire if i had enough time to do all of that.

Idea 2.
i thought i would make a running scene with the model lamp and have it running with a head band sweating trying to finish the race before that other lamps. the background here would also be animated to a certain extent perhaps with groups of well wisher at at the end maybe add in some slow motion and some music to go with it.

idea 3.
I was think that I'd give ago at making a Indiana Jones animation kind of thing with the lamp in a cave or something along those lines and hits a trip wire and is running away from a giant bolder or something and getting away in a Indiana fashion. again i could do some animations for the background like when the bolder coming the ground shakes and for the bolder when it hits the ground dust comes up maybe with the particles.

At the moment i think the most likely one i am going to give a shoot at is the sword fight one my first idea i do realize that I'm probably setting the bar a bit high with all the modeling and rigging that i would take just to do this and the particle effects but i still think I'm going to at least try to make it happen. but as i said this is only what i think I'm going to do at the moment until i actually start doing it i can't tell what will actually be feasible.

Thanks for reading Gordon Samuel Sharp.
